Dr. Premal Naik completed his M. B. B. S and M. S. (Orthopaedics) from Smt. N H L Municipal Medical College, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. He was awarded a Gold medal for his performance in his masters exam. After this, he completed nationally acclaimed degree of DIPLOMATE OF NATIONAL BOARD in Orthopaedics, from National Board of Examination (Ministry of Health and Welfare, Govt. of India).

His zeal to gain in depth knowledge of paediatric orthopaedics took him first to Dr. Ashok Johari, Mumbai and then he went for clinical fellowship at K.K.Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore under Prof. E H Lee.

Currently, he is a recognized teacher and Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at Smt. S C L Hospital & N H L Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He is actively involved in training post graduate and undergraduate students in the field of orthopaedics for last nine years.

He has presented many scientific papers at numerous national and international conferences. He has received best paper and poster awards at National conference of Paediatric orthopaedic society of India twice. He has been involved in primary research for hip problems (congenital hip dislocation) in newborn for which he was awarded with prize at national level.

He has been invited to write a chapter in forthcoming text book by Indian Orthopaedic Association. He has been instrumental in promoting paediatric orthopaedics in medical fraternity of paediatric doctors and orthopaedic surgeons by means of being faculty for many CME programs.
